Interview Troels – Wolfpack.intl

introduce yourself  who is you  who you run with and for how long
Wolfpack.intl is a contemporary run crew founded in March 2017 and based in Espergærde, Denmark. With a unique approach to the game of running, opting to never run the same race twice, I always try to push the limits for what and where to race. It is directed by myself, Troels Werenberg Frederiksen. I Co-founded NBRO in 2010, a sub cultural run crew based on a love for the city, lifestyle and urban running. Lifestyle is still key, but in Wolfpack.intl, instead of mixing style and running gear with the streets, I focus on creating a balance between running, everyday life and nature, often taking our runs to the trails and combining the many opportunities the forest has to offer with the passion that I have for running. It’s not all dirt and gravel, and we do see asphalt on our runs, but it’s about aiming to find that perfect balance between the two.

– you also do a lot of trail runnings  what’s the difference for you between that and running on asphalt and which one you prefer and why
That’s true. Trail running has become a huge passion of mine. It’s so different from running on asphalt, because nature changes through all four seasons. Often when you run on asphalt, you meet people and have to take traffic into account. On the trails you can become secluded by the trees and reach a different level of flow.

-you also is a sneakerhead to death  what is ya favourite and why
top 5 if possible
I could go on forever on this topic. In running it’s easy; Nike Lunar Spider LT gives you everything you need as far as grip, cushion, look and feel. It’s perfect for both training and racing. For my latest trail runs I have gravitated towards the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 trail in the sick AR5677-101 colorway. Rounding out my top 5 at the moment would be the Nike P-6000 style#CT3439-100, Nike Lunar Force Low Acronym black and white and Air Jordan 4 Breds.

– what’s ya favourite city to run in except kopenhagen off course
Berlin!

– which run/race do you still want to run and why
I’m really looking into the Tromsø Skyrace at the moment as part of the Wolfpack.intl unofficial Big 6. Also on this list is The Speed Project (done), SOUL TRAIL Half (done), Hood To Coast (done), Havana and Honolulu halfs. Outside of official competition I’m looking to create a few more races of my own. I already host the SOUL TRAIL Cup, SOUL TRAIL by Night and SOUL TRAIL half every year and a relay might be in the making.
